Self-catering holiday accommodation in Sleights

Nestling on the banks of the River Esk, the pretty stone cottages of Sleights provide a much-loved base for exploring the dramatic scenery along the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Just 4 miles from the seaside town of Whitby and on the edge of the North York Moors, our holiday cottages in Sleights enjoy the best of coast and countryside. Within the village, you’ll find everything you need for your stay, including two welcoming pubs serving food, a couple of shops, Post Office and riverside tea rooms at the local garden centre.

The Esk Valley stretches out from the doorsteps of our Sleights cottages, offering a choice of scenic walking routes through one of the most varied dales in the North York Moors National Park. Discover Falling Foss, an impressive waterfall in the Sneaton Forest, fish for salmon on the River Esk (with a permit) or explore the picturesque village of Goathland (5 miles), which was the setting for the popular television series, Heartbeat. From here, you can also catch a vintage steam train for an enchanting journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to Pickering.

Perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of modern life, our Sleights holiday cottages offer a peaceful North Yorkshire holiday home where you can put your feet up in complete comfort and relax after your adventures in the great outdoors.
