At the end of the day, take a relaxing soak in the gorgeous slipper bath found in the family bathroom, that completes the internal layout. Outside, soak up the village ambience from the front patio, complete with a bistro set perfect for savouring your morning coffee or al fresco dining.

Excellent location. Could be a lovely cottage. We were disappointed with the cleanliness and it feels a little tired and run down.

Lovely cottage in brilliant location for all sorts of attractions. Parking outside will block a main bus route so owners suggestion to park outside church worked well. Maybe a blind on kitchen window and the bins don't get emptied on Tuesday. Both wheelie bins overflowing on our arrival and one emptied on Thursday.

We thought this was a beautiful cottage in a quiet and peaceful location. It was very easy to relax in the cottage and we found it to be very comfortable. We loved exploring the area from this base and would definitely visit again.

A very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a great location for walks in the North York Moors and the coast. The friendly local pub serving nice food was a bonus! Definitely hope to stay again.

A good "average" cottage. Nothing really luxurious, but had most things you'd need - no bells and whistles. Not great for light sleepers - the immersion/boiler in the corner of the master bedroom is noisy, and the church directly outside the bedroom window dings their bells on the hour every hour - even through the night. Wouldn't recommend it foRead morer tall people - the bed is a tiny double with metal frame, so you won't be able to lie down straight, also the small shower has restricted headroom. Hide

Our second visit to this lovely cottage, well equipped and maintained. Perfectly situated for visits to Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. Some great walks straight from the cottage.

On the whole, the cottage was superb. The layout was fantastic, all of the rooms were well sized and easily heated and all of the amenities were exactly what was needed too. The cottage was clean and tidy and just felt like home as soon as you walk through the door.

An excellent, cosy and comfortable cottage, with good quality feel to it. The village is lovely with a good pub and brilliant walks on the doorstep. The local church was also very welcoming to me when I attended the Sunday service.

A well appointed and comfortable cottage. The only drawback is the location of the boiler in a cupboard in the main bedroom, which can disrupt sleep because it is programmed to operate at night.

Comfortable cottage, tastefully furnished and well equipped. Very near to Whitby with a regular bus service (bus stop only 75 yards away). Great view across the valley from the bedroom windows. Stairs a little tricky- lots of varying heights from very shallow to normal height risers to deeper risers.
