Sleights is a stunning, traditional village located about 4 miles from Whitby, and is one of the largest villages in the country. Along the bottom of the village runs the River Esk, where many salmon can be seen leaping in the river. Salmon fishing permits can be obtained for anyone interested in trying their hand at fishing. The village has fantastic amenities including a shop, a baker, an award-winning butcher, pubs, a church, a village hall, a fish and chip restaurant and a post office. It is a wonderful location for walks and is perfect for a couple’s holiday.
