The cottage was perfect as a base for a short break on the East Coast of Yorkshire during the autumn half term holiday. We had planned to stay in Whitby, but the properties there rarely have any parking, so the fact that the Old School House has parking and is so well located was a big plus. The cottage was cosy, warm and beautifully decorated for Read morethe season. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The welcome basket was a nice touch too. We loved the house and would definitely rent this property again. Hide

The cottage itself was lovely and spotlessley clean on arrival. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever used in a cottage. Backing out of the drive is dangerous. It also looks far bigger in the pictures than it is. I would recommend to a friend but with a caveat on not to take dogs.

The cottage was clean, warm and cosy. Location excellent for sight seeing in the local area, with a bus stop to Whitby opposite and train station a short walk away.

Key safe difficult to pull open; no freezer(a big problem) and a two slice toaster inadequate for four people. I would only recommend this property after informing them of the previous statements.

A well appointed, cosy cottage. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise. The stone flags downstairs helped keep the cottage feel cool in hot weather. The location was perfect - especially with the river cafe virtually next door.

Highly recommended, lovely cottage, perfect location for Whitby and days out exploring. The flagstone floors helped keep the cottage cool on a particularly hot week which was a godsend.

Property was nice and had everything required. Kitchen / dining equipment needed a clean before use. With a few improvements and attention to detail this could be a very nice property.
