A most perfect holiday cottage, spacious, fabulous views and spotlessly clean. Visit to Thorp Perrow to see autumnal co lours and birds of prey was sensational. Walk along Leyburn Shawl, a lovely thing to do first. Bolton Castle is fun for half a day. (Friend received his call up to RAF whilst we were standing on the top turret and will one day fly over in a fast jet) Yorkshire was very welcoming and shops in Leyburn (including Campbels Gluten free cabinet of GF pork pies) A nice way to spend a few hours ... oh and don't miss the Harmby waterfall almost opposite the entrance to the cottage. Thanks for everything. (Lovely to be back again it is our fifth time)Rutherford family - 21st October 2017

The cottage and gardens are absolutely stunning. My son and daughter-in-law and my two girls (both grown-ups) love it here and so do I. It will be hard leaving all of this behind. We have had a lovely week and visited some family who live in Cumbria, not far at all from lovely Hawes. We have stayed in quite a lot of holiday cottages but this one is the very best. Thank you Angela from Ruby + family. P.S. As soon as anyone walks in here it has the lovely warm feeling of our own homes.Ruby and Melanie Reason - 17th October 2015
Fantastic house in an outstanding location and love the attention to detail. Would recommend this to anyone! Wensleydale Creamery cafe- superb! Bolton Arms, Redmire - Fab!Simon, Louise, Emma and Kate Anderson - 10th October 2015
Cottage superb, very well-equipped, everything you need, plenty of space. The garden is also amazing and safe for children. Location- Excellent, just look out of the windows- the views are spectacular with some quite incredible sunsets. We made full use of the info in the manual with regard to eating places and can recommend Saffron, The Sandpiper Inn, Penleys Cafe and Bistro- these all had good children's menus too. A must visit is 'The Forbidden Corner'- Excellent day out although poor old Nan (nearly 70) found some of it a bit challenging however the children aged between 3-4 had a whale of a time. All in all, this was a great holiday with sunshine everyday.Griffiths Family - 3rd October 2015
I would like to stay on behalf of my mum and myself. We had a lovely holiday, the weather was good and the house and garden with the beautiful views. We both agreed it as the best one we've had, we must have stayed in around 20 different ones over the last 9 years.Melanie Reason - 14th May 2015
At the heart of Wensleydale lies the gateway town of Leyburn, "A Town for all Seasons". With spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, unusual local shops and cafes, traditional pubs and a weekly market, it's an ideal base for walking, sightseeing, or just watching the world go by. There's lots to see and do in the town, whether it's the wonderfully quirky Forbidden Corner, the annual food and drink festival celebrating the best of local produce, the stunning Harmby waterfall or taking a trip on the Wensleydale Railway- Leyburn provides the perfect base for a Yorkshire Dales break.
