Grassington is a former lead-mining village located in North Yorkshire. There’s always something to see and do in the village, with lots of festivals and events throughout the year. The village also boasts the Grassington Folk Museum and hosts a 1940's themed weekend every September. Each June the village holds the annual Grassington Festival,attracting big names such as Jo Brand and Dara O’Briain, and the Dickensian Festival each December which includes period costumes and stalls. There is terrific array of shops, cafes and pubs in the village (situated around a small cobbled square) and the area is ideal for walking and cycling, with many picturesque walks along the popular Dales Way. You’re not far from a great day out in Grassington, Bolton Abbey is only 8 miles away, Stump Cross Caverns is just 10 minutes drive and you’re also close to Skipton and Pateley Bridge which are full of a mix of independent boutiques and high street retailers.
