This charming cottage enjoys a superb location in the heart of the picturesque village of Kettlewell, offering a host of fantastic walks and places to see for couples and families.

Enjoying a tranquil location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, this delightful family cottage makes a charming holiday home for couples and smaller families seeking a relaxing rural break. Set in the friendly village of Kettlewell, the quaint and welcoming property features a lovely open fire, stylish decor and tasteful soft furnishings, providing a cosy and relaxing getaway for keen walkers, climbers and nature lovers discovering Upper Wharfedale and the surrounding Dales. With ample space for up to four guests, this light and spacious hideaway offers stunning country views and is a fantastic base for exploring the area’s picturesque valleys and historic sites.

This fresh and airy cottage offers a cosy, beautifully decorated lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV and an open fire. Heading through, the stylishly arranged kitchen/diner has ample equipment so you can rustle up your favourite dishes which you can share around the sociable dining table. Upstairs, you will have a choice of two light and colourful bedrooms: a cheery king-size room to the front and a lovely double to the rear, alongside a refreshing shower room. Outside, there’s a small and cheerful front patio with a table and chairs, while the pretty back garden has a sweet lawn, outdoor furniture and wonderful country scenery.

Situated along the beautiful River Wharfe and lying beneath the impressive fell of Great Whernside, Kettlewell is a beautiful rural village known for its annual Scarecrow Festival. There are miles of breathtaking walks throughout the surrounding dales, with a wealth of popular destinations including Malham Cove, Mossdale Caverns, Scar House Reservoir, Stump Cross Caverns and Parcevall Hall Gardens, all within 15 miles. Heading south, the historic town of Skipton (14 miles) is known for its magnificent castle and a fantastic range of great pubs, tea rooms and restaurants.

Great cottage in a great location. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. King size bed was comfy. Garden at the rear nice and peaceful away from the road and secure for our dog with super views. This lovely cottage has everything you need, a nice fenced off garden area for the dog and beautiful views to enjoy whilst sat out there. The stairs are not great for those with mobility issues, but the location for pubs, cafes and the lovely ice cream shop is ideal. Lovely walks start only metres from the door. This cottage is small but perfectly formed Its well furnished and equipped with everything you need. The enclosed and secure garden just across the path from the cottage back door is perfect if you have a dog. There are great walks from the cottage especially along the river which is just 5 minutes from the cottage The main road that goes past the Read morecottage is busy but is not really an issue when you are inside or in the garden . A delightful comfortable homely cottage in a quiet village. Plenty of eating places. Loads of walking from the front door. Lovely ice cream kiosk. Shame about the only shop. It doesn't cater for visitors. Had to drive to Spar shop 6 miles away.

We liked the location: Kettlewell is a picturesque village, and we could walk to any of the 3 pubs and to the coffee shop. We did several walks directly from the house. Excellent cottage in lovely surroundings. All facilities were good and very clean. Even dogs provided for. Our only difficulty was the rather steep stairs which are not god for anyone with mobility problems of any kind.

A lovely cottage in the heart of the dales. We had a lovely week with our little dog. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook with. A great enclosed outside space for our dog. Comforty beds. The view is just amazing! A great location to get to other parts of the dales for walks. We will be staying again!

The cottage is close to the centre of Kettlewell and some lovely walks straight from the door. The kitchen has every piece of cooking equipment that you could want and the sitting room is cosy. Upstairs the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has a lovely shower. Although the local garage is opposite we were not bothered by noise.

We didnt realise there was a garage opposite. But this had no impact on our stay. Hardly any noise from them.The place was immaculate. Beds so comfy and the view is beautiful. The welcome pack for our pooch was lovely. out of so relaxing just what we needed. The Blue Bell inn was absolutely amazing food. Definitely recommend the cottage.

This was ideal for our short break in the dales. Kettlewell is a good centre for both walking and touring the area. The information about the cottage was good and the owner was easy to contact, giving additional information about local events when contacted prior to arrival. Very conveniently located in one of the best villages we have ever visited. We were comfortable throughout our 4 day stay and despite being on the main road, there was virtually no traffic noise during the night. Highly recommend staying in the Wayside Cottage.

Wayside Cottage is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the cottage is very comfortable.
