This atmospheric two-bed cottage in Hebden is a haven for lovebirds and small groups of adventurers! Beyond the village, you’ll be surrounded by gorgeous countryside and trails starting right from your doorstep. Take scenic strolls along the River Wharf (0.5 miles) towards locations like Grassington, Burnsall and Appletreewick, within a 3-mile radius. A little further into the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you’ll find natural wonders like Malham Cove (14 miles) and Scaleber Force Waterfall (15.5. miles).

Admire the property’s stone front before stepping inside to a cosy abode decorated in a charming rustic style. Put your feet up in the welcoming lounge, with its sofas, warm wood burner and elegant ceiling beams. The modern kitchen-dining room boasts lovely wooden work surfaces and gleaming white tiles and units for a pristine finish. This leads out to a sweet conservatory where you can enjoy late breakfasts come rain or shine. Outside, the rear patio, flanked by a traditional dry-stone wall, boasts gorgeous countryside views – a delightful backdrop for fresh-air lunches.

The accommodation is surrounded by much-loved local establishments like the Old School Tea Room, where afternoon tea becomes an art form, and the Clarendon Hotel, an 18th-century relic where you can sample hearty local ales (both within 200 metres). Love fishing? Cast a line into the serene waters at Bolton Abbey or Kilnsey Park (9 and 5.5 miles respectively). If you’re more into horses, saddle up at the nearby horse-riding centre (5.5 miles) then gallop or canter in style through the stunning landscape. There’s a lovely spa with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi just 4 miles away, or you can drive into Harrogate to experience its historical Turkish baths.

A sweet cottage in a beautiful location - Hebden village is lovely, and has fabulous walks from the doorstep along the river and into the hills around. Relaxing not to have to get in the car every day (and a useful parking space). A very comfy bed - tiny bathroom, but great shower, and kitchen has everything you need to have meals in if you want toRead more. The woodburning stove makes it very cosy in the evenings. Hide

Good location and clean property but with shortcomings. The patio area/ glasshouse was in need of some renovation. The kitchen was well appointed but the table was a trestle table and too low with limited space. The bathroom was modern but VERY small. The electric radiators werent really adequate and there was no fuel for the wood burner. It was vRead moreery difficult to dry towels etc. The sofas and bed were comfortable with some nice touches. A quiet spot in a good area to explore the Dales. Hide

The cottage is well equipped and the owners have provided for most eventualities. We found the main bed was very comfortable and the location is very peaceful. As we had a week of unseasonably cold weather the log burning stove was invaluable in supplementing the electric radiator heating. We would not hesitate to book again if returning to the DalRead morees. Hide
