Escape to this exquisite cottage in picture-postcard Kettlewell and enjoy the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. Sleeping five guests, the three-bedroom property also welcomes a four-legged friend and is well-placed for country and riverside walks. There is an outside terrace and raised garden area for enjoying during summer breaks and a wood burner to stoke up on winter evenings in.
Let yourselves into your new home from home to find there is ample space for your outerwear in the entrance hall. Head through to the beamed lounge to light the wood burner, find a film on the Smart TV and settle back on the soft seating to enjoy some quality time together. The kitchen/diner is another great space for gathering in, as well as for preparing meals and even picking out a tune or two on the piano. There is a handy utility room for rinsing damp clothing after wet walks. Climb the very steep, cottage-style stairs with great care up to the first floor of the property. Here you will find a king-size bedroom, a twin and a single. There is also a WC and a family bathroom. Wander up the stone steps to the raised terrace to have your morning coffee outside on summer mornings. Dine out here too on pleasant evenings. There is parking for two cars at the cottage.
Follow the footpath beside the River Wharfe or find routes from Kettlewell that will take you up into the fells. Venture 12 miles to see the impressive glacial lake of Malham Tarn and 14 miles to Malham Cove, a striking, curved, limestone rock formation. Head 15 miles into Skipton to amble round the shops, stock up on local produce and dine out. You can also visit the castle and walk in Castle Woods while you are here.
