Fryup Dale Cottages

Fryup Dale is a picturesque, peaceful hamlet in the midst of the North York Moors National Park. Surrounded by miles of heather moorland, this is an ideal location for anyone looking for a "get away from it all" holiday, surrounded by natural beauty. Walkers have easy access to the paths through the moors and farmland and the quiet country lanes. For those that like to explore, there are a number of ancient stone way-markers which often take the form of a cross nearby. These were used as landmarks for travellers and sometimes to signify land boundaries.

The villages of Castleton, Danby, Lealholm and Glaisdale offer the usual facilities including pubs, tearooms and shops. The Moors National Park Centre in Danby is well worth a visit to find out all about the National Park and holds various exhibitions and events throughout the year.
