No pub, no shop and add the fact that you are only four miles from Whitby and all that it offers, makes it a great base for getting away from it all and yet being close enough to the town for the essentials.

The closest beaches are the wide sandy expanse of Sandsend just three miles away, on which you can walk to Whitby or use the cliff path, and Runswick Bay three and a half miles away where the sandy bay and rock pools entertain the young and old alike. Both villages have pubs that serve food and cafes. The village of Hinderwell is just four miles away and has a village shop, pub and takeaway.
