Self-catering holiday accommodation in Great Ayton

Great Ayton is a pretty Yorkshire village on the edge of the North York Moors, not far from the market town of Stokesley. It's home to a handsome high street with pubs, cafes, shops and a well known ice cream parlour called Suggitts along with riverside walks and a couple of village greens. Great Ayton is best known as childhood hometown of the 18th century explorer, Captain James Cook and you can visit Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum in the village and walk along the Cleveland Way to Captain Cook's Monument and nearby Roseberry Topping, a Yorkshire Hill which has wonderful views from the summit.

Book your North York Moors cottage to explore Great Ayton along with nearby places like Osmotherley and Helmsley. It's also just a short drive to the Yorkshire Coast and the popular seaside town of Whitby where you can enjoy some of the best fish and chips around.
