This cobbled market town lies close to the northern tip of the North York Moors National Park with pretty villages like Great Ayton and Osmotherley close by.  The town is surrounded by rolling countryside and rural farmland with views across to Roseberry Topping, a favourite Yorkshire hill for families to climb up and enjoy spectacular views from the top.

There are lots of shops to browse from your Stokesley holiday cottage and you'll find a pretty river running through the town with ducks to feed and a pathway to follow. Other great walks to try during a Stokesley getaway include following the Cleveland Way which you can pick up in nearby Osmotherley and follow to Sutton Bank and Helmsley. You're also just a short drive from Saltburn and the Yorkshire Coast if you fancy some sea air during your Stokesley getaway.
