Holiday cottages & accommodation in Saltburn-by-the-Sea

Saltburn-by-the-Sea is an attractive Yorkshire coastal town steeped in Victorian charm. Hop on the water-balanced Cliff Lift, the oldest of its type in Britain and one of the town’s most famous sights. It takes you down 120 feet to Saltburn’s Victorian pier on the lower promenade – the last remaining pleasure pier in Yorkshire. Here you can enjoy a paper-wrapped portion of fish and chips while admiring the far-reaching sea views. From here, you can board the Saltburn Miniature Railway and chug along the seafront to the colourful Italian Gardens, another of the town’s iconic Victorian landmarks.

Long before the town became a popular seaside resort, Saltburn-by-the-Sea was a prime location for smuggling, and you can learn more about its intriguing past at The Smugglers' Heritage Centre. Alternatively, if you’re feeling competitive, there’s crazy golf on the beach hut-lined promenade. And when you’re in need of a refuel, you can enjoy a leisurely wander around the town’s network of charming streets, hosting an array of fine cafés, shops and eateries.

Our Saltburn holiday cottages are appreciated by couples and families alike, as well as surfers who flock to this Yorkshire seaside town for its sandy beach and great waves. Lying on the fringes of the North York Moors, our self-catering accommodation in Saltburn-by-the-Sea is also a great choice for walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. There are some breathtaking hikes along the Cleveland Way National Trail which runs along Saltburn’s beautiful coastline.
