Description

Tucked away in peaceful countryside on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, close to Gisburn Forest with its mountain bike tracks and walking routes, Wagtail Cottage is situated at the end of a half mile private road. This comfortable cottage is one of a small group of properties surrounded by open farmland situated within the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The cottage offers comfortable accommodation for families and groups of friends, with plenty of outdoor space to relax in. The shared games room includes snooker, table football, table tennis and darts, and there is an indoor swimming pool and a tennis court.

Wagtail Cottage adjoins Jenny Wren (DS098) and there is an adjoining door linking the two properties, making this ideal accommodation for groups of ten people when booked together (See Cuckoo's Nest, DS103).

 Log burning stove - complimentary basket of logs provided (October-Easter) additional logs can be purchased on site. Leather sofa, TV with Freeview, DVD, iPod docking station.  Door to private patio and shared garden.
Dining Kitchen: Table and chairs (seats up to 10  people). Fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave.
Bathroom: Bath, shower, toilet and washbasin.

Area Information

The quaint village of Tosside is located between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland on the border of North Yorkshire and Lancashire. Only 10 miles from Settle, home of the Settle to Carlisle Railway and 18 miles from lovely market town of Skipton. The village itself boast a pub, The Dog and Partridge and there are plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants just a 10 mile drive away. This area of outstanding natural beauty is a dream for outdoor lovers. To the north of the village there is a nationally recognised nature reserve, and Gisburn Forest offers cycling and walking trails for all abilities. There are plenty of visitor attractions nearby including the spectacular Ingleton Waterfalls, Malham Cove and Gorsdale Scar. Plus the vast and beautiful landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are only a short drive away.
