Self-catering cottages in Snainton

Snainton is a great location for a holiday or short break to Yorkshire. This lovely village is located on the edge of the North York Moors with Dalby Forest close and the Yorkshire Coast and Yorkshire Wolds both also within easy reach. Dalby Forest is a place place for adventures with children and four-legged friends and you'll find lots of dog-friendly cottages near Stainton where you can rest your head after adventures between the trees. Within the village is a pub, restaurant, post office, 9 hole golf course and driving range, horse riding stables and an outdoor children's play area. For all the essentials, there is a garage with Spar supermarket.

The coastal resort of Scarborough is just 10 miles away where you can enjoy traditional seaside activities with donkey rides and a variety of amusement arcades and ice cream parlours along the bustling South Beach. In the quieter North Beach area there's a miniature railway, the Alpamere Water Park and a boating lake and picnic areas at the Oriental-themed Victorian Peasholm Park. Take a walk along the Cleveland Way National Trail to pretty villages like Robin Hood's Bay and Runswick Bay where you can see a colony of grey seals.

If you fancy exploring the area on two wheels, you can cycle along the traffic-free Cinder Track from your Snainton Holiday Cottages which runs between Whitby and Scarborough or go off-road on the mountain bike tracks in Dalby Forest. There's also surfing at nearby Cayton Bay and an outdoor theatre at Scarborough to keep everyone entertained during a family holiday to the Yorkshire Coast.
