Holiday cottages in Muker

This small Yorkshire Dales village is located high in Swaledale on the banks of the River Swale. Muker is a peaceful place to stay and you'll find traditional stone cottages and rolling countryside that is criss-crossed with the dry stone wall that the Yorkshire Dales is synonymous with. This Swaledale settlement is also home to the Muker Meadows, one of the last remaining patches of upland wildflower hay meadows which make a beautiful spot for a spring or summer walk. Swaledale is a popular choice for cycling and you can travel on two wheels via the Swale Trail to Keld and Kisdon Force or head to Reeth where you can enjoying panoramic views from the village green.

The Buttertubs Pass will take you from Muker to the spectacular Hardraw Force waterfall and on to Hawes where you can sample cheese at the Wensleydale creamery or spot red squirrels at the Snaizeholme Red Squirrel Trail.

Browse our Muker cottages and plan your next outdoor adventure to the Yorkshire Dales.
