Making a delightful rural hideaway for couples, this romantic retreat offers snug accommodation for two guests planning days of adventure across the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage lies within the peaceful village of Gunnerside, close to the gentle Gunnerside Beck as it flows into the River Swale. The village boasts a community pub which serves food, and also has a pizza van on Thursdays and a Fish and Chip van on Fridays. Slightly Further afield, there are pubs serving food in Muker and Low Row, which can be reached via footpaths with stunning views. The surrounding area offers miles of walking trails, including Calver Hill, the Old Gang Smelting Mill and Kisdon Force (all within 6.5 miles). Heading south-west, the market town of Hawes (10.5 miles) has a choice of great places to eat and drink, with attractions including the Dales Countryside Museum, Gayle Mill and the Wensleydale Creamery. Along the eastern edge of the Dales, you can explore Middleham Castle, The Forbidden Corner and the thriving town of Richmond (all within 19 miles).
