Continue into the compact, white, contemporary kitchen and youāll find a fitted āLā-shape unit for preparing home-cooked meals. Upstairs is a shower room on the half landing and in the eaves is a super-king-size bedroom with a Smart TV. Next door is a similar but slightly smaller cottage with a ground-floor shower room and a kitchenette with a breakfast bar. Climb the wooden staircase to reach a mezzanine double bedroom with a TV. Outside is a courtyard patio with potted plants and a garden dining set. There is on-street parking.
During your stay in Whitby, youāll be east of the River Esk and surrounded by waterside restaurants. Also on this side of the river is the 199 Steps (less than 0.5 miles) leading to the dramatic clifftop ruins of Whitby Abbey (0.5 miles). Cross the bridge to reach the town centre and Whitby Beach (0.5 miles). Further afield are the peaceful countryside village and moorland of the North York Moors National Park (1.5 miles) ā including Robin Hoodās Bay and Beach (5.5 miles).
