Great location, comfortable cottage, very relaxing. Anyone with walking difficulty would not managed the stairs over 4 floors.

The location of this property can't be beaten, very convenient for all the amenities Whitby has to offer. Parking is an issue but that can't be helped but please, get the place cleaned up.

The cottage is immaculate, and very well furnished, with a pleasant, secure garden. However, we found the stairs very awkward. Our dog was not confident on the polished wood steps. There was a complete absence of hospitality. No shampoo, shower gel, 1 1/2 toilet rolls of the poorest quality, no wash up liquid. No "welcome pack"! The locatiRead moreon could not be bettered. The parking problem is what it is! I would recommend only to younger people, who would be happier with the stairs. Hide

Very central location with easy access to all local sights and amenities. Very large comfy bed, comfy sofa and large TV. Parking nearby is a nightmare, as it is in all of Whitby especially at busy times No teapot or cafetiere in the property so take your own if required The winding stairs can be an issue for those with limited mobility.

We loved it at Dean Cottage. Ideal location for us, as some of our favourite places to eat and drink are over that side of the bridge. Really comfy bed, the owner had put Christmas decorations up and it felt very cosy.

Overall, really good. The only thing being the lack of cleaning items and products available. Had we have been made aware of this before leaving we would have bought our own though we didn't have any desire to go out of our way to buy cleaning items when we re on holiday.

Positives. Refurb excellent, good use of space, internet fast and reliable, TV was great, didn't use the bedroom one. Furniture and bed comfortable. Position of cottage amazing, views great, soap opera with the car park. Nice yard outside, but shared, so not sure how that works in the summer, but is dog friendly. Great position and access to amenitRead moreies, lots of walking. Negatives. Needed a good clean, rooms have edges and corners, and under furniture. Shower cubicle, although the shower was excellent, needed a good clean. Bed, although comfortable, was huge, and I had to buy a pillow, as those supplied were too hard. A teapot or cafetieire would be good, I took my own, as would a tea towel. Items had been left in the fridge, not acceptable. Wouldn't recommend to those with any mobility problems, lots of small steep staircases. Parking a real issue, parked up by the Abbey, car parks expensive, if you can get a space, W scratch cards puzzling, and no space there either. Noise every time next door have showers. Hide
