Continue into the ‘U’-shaped kitchen area with dark surface tops and light shaker-style cabinets where you can prepare a hearty home-cooked meal for your loved ones. Follow the stairs up to the first floor to find a family bathroom plus two elegant bedrooms with floral motifs and countryside views – a king-size with an en-suite plus a family room offering a single and double bed. Outside, you can gaze across the moorland from the courtyard and lawned garden surrounded by trees with furniture and a BBQ.
The sleepy village of Gillamoor sits on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, close to the market town of Kirkbymoorside (2.5 miles). Here, you can find a pet shop and a handful of pubs and shops. Take a picnic to enjoy by the lakes in Yearsley Woods National Forest (16.5 miles) and explore the historic estate of Duncombe Park (9.5 miles) which is home to a large collection of birds of prey. Near here are the 900-year-old castle Helmsley Castle (9 miles) and the dramatic ruins of Rievaulx Abbey (11.5 miles).
