Wonderful place to stay and a great base to explore the area, from York to Whitby and so much in between. The cottage is well presented, had everything we needed and was a comfortable home for our week-long stay.

Lovely cottage in a great area. Lots of character and really cosy, small kitchen but had everything you need. But the garden is the highlight, large attractive and totally secure for dogs or children. My dog loved it. Also excellent comfy garden furniture, we spent a lot of time relaxing in garden. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A lovely cottage on the edge of a small quiet village with a pub by the moors and as it is very close to the moors it is handy if you have got dogs or if you simply like the views of the moors or the surrounding farm land.

This was our second stay at Gales House Farm. It was so good the first time we had to return. My wife and I found the cottage very clean and comfortable. There are so many beautiful walks close by and most of them with a pub on route for drinks or food. I would highly recommend staying here. Hide
