During your stay in the sleepy village of Gillamoor on the southern borders of the North York Moors National Park, you can easily reach the pretty market town of Kirkbymoorside (2.5 miles) for a meal out or to pick up some essentials. This town is also a treasure trove for antique and art collectors. History enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the Wheeldale Roman Road (16 miles) and the ruins of Skelton Tower (17 miles). Enjoy a walk around the Mallyan Spout Waterfall (23 miles) or head to the traditional seaside town of Scarborough (27.5 miles).
