Teeming with authentic country cottage charm, this fabulous abode provides an exceptional base for your next Yorkshire getaway. Positioned at the centre of Masham, just metres from the markets and breweries that put this popular little town on the map, you’re well set for exploring all the delights close by when staying here. The cottage itself is an attractive terraced property sleeping a total of six guests and two dogs, perfect for your next family or friend getaway. Get cosy by the coal fire as each day draws to a close, plotting adventures for the days yet to come.

Stop off in a spacious vestibule and leave shoes and coats behind on entry. The ground floor is home to two out of three bedrooms, both twin rooms and one offering an en-suite bathroom. You’ll only have to climb the cottage stairs to reach the final bedroom, a lovely double. Also on the first floor, find a country-style kitchen/diner with plenty of farmhouse charm and a large dining table with a pew-style seating bench for mealtimes. When dinnertime is done, the lounge is next door with its soft seating, coal fire and Smart TV – simply a wonderful place for evenings filled with exceptional company and conversation.

Get to know Masham without veering far from home, exploring the local breweries and independent businesses or taking a long walk along the banks of the River Ure. Those with younger guests will love a trip to Thorp Perrow with its birds of prey collection (5 miles) or Lightwater Valley (6.5 miles), a theme park packed with rides and excitement. The whole family can appreciate a trip to Druid’s Temple (4.5 miles), a mystical beauty spot that neighbours Leighton Reservoir (5 miles) and offers a great opportunity for walking.

The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. However, there was a problem with wall sockets in every bedroom. All the sockets were located on the skirting boards so we could not plug any chargers, hairdryers in etc in any of the bedrooms. I had to dry and straighten my hair in the kitchen. There was also some exposed wiring to a double soRead morecket on the wall between the kitchen and lounge. Hide
