Easy to book and the website has full details of all the properties one would like to visit. On the one occasion we did need to contact the company, they were very efficient and friendly. The property, Strands view, was fabulous. A great place if you have a small group, we had 5 in our party. Three beautifully appointed large bedrooms each with king size beds. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble with this family home. We felt very comfortable and there was plenty in the way of books, games etc., to keep us amused if the weather closed in. You just couldn't take your eyes of the wonderful views, one of the many reasons we return to Swaledale every year.
A superb, well equipped cottage with stunning views. We will definitely be back.
This is by far the best property that we have rented in years and years. The beds were SO comfortable, the kitchen extremely well equipped and for once we had plenty of empty cupboard space to put our supplies. Also, for the first time ever, we had a really large fridge as well as a really large freezer. The entire property is an absolute delight and WHAT a view! Nearly forgot to say that we had a really lovely welcome pack - tea, coffee, milk, chocolate biscuits and a bottle of decent wine.
Beautiful House with amazing views. Exceptionally well equipped with lovely outdoor space. Enjoyed our stay and hope to return at some stage - The Hergenhan's, Graham's + Charlie the Dog (London)
A wonderful week of sunny weather only surpassed by such fantastic accommodation with stunning views. swaledale is now a firm favourite that we hope to come back to soon! - The Stewart's, Stenhare's, & Robinson's.
A week of unexpected, unbroken sunshine at a fantastic cottage. The views are out of this world and such wonderful walks nearby. All in all a truly gorgeous week at one of the very best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in.
What a fabulous week. We adore this house and the location. We had snow and sunshine in one week and loved every minute.
Got lucky with the weather. Always a treat to come up to the Dales and now we have found this gem. Very inspiring views.
The property was fabulous one of the best we have stayed in.
Excellent cottage in a stunning setting. We've had a great week even if the weather was somewhat changeable. Would recommend The Farmers Arms in Muker and The Kings Head in Gunnerside.
So lovely for a family get-together. Lovely cottage to stay in and return to after a beautiful walk. Recommend The Punch Bowl and The Kings Head. Swaledale is so lovely and I am so pleased we stayed here.
Wonderful stay at Srands View, the whole family loved every minute of the week. Went on a lovely, long walks including Gunnerside Gill taking in the breathtaking views. Had a great meal at The Punch Bowl. We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy home and really hope to be back again. We really don't want to leave!
The house was amazing. Lovely and clean. We enjoyed the walk to Gunnerside Gill. The games room was amazing for the kids as it kept them quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable! The scenery is amazing. We saw a lot of birds on the bird feeder. Thank you!
I don't think I can expand on anything other than excellent all round.
2nd visit - still as amazing as the last one. Perfect house, clean with every amenity you would want. A wonderful start to Christmas - we will be back!
What a fabulous week - sunshine every day and a fantastic cottage! Wonderful walks. Went to Buttertubs pass and M rode it on his bike!” (Was on Tour de France route). Walked into Gunnerside to the Kings Head for a nice meal - good pub grub!)

Perfect family accommodation. We are aged from six months to ninety. Lovely views and local walks. Good food at the Punchbowl. Enjoyed our visit immensely
We were here for what we were told was the most snow in 5 years! It was a real winter wonderland outside and lovely and cosy inside. We got exactly what we wanted which is a lovely place to chill and relax in beautiful scenery. Thank you
This quaint little village in Swaledale used to be known for its lead mining however now it provides a tranquil and convenient base for touring the Yorkshire Dales National Park. If you're visiting the village be sure to talk a walk to Gunnerside Gill, a narrow, rocky gorge where signs of the village's industrial past can be seen. Walkers will be pleased with the village's convenient location on the Coast to Coast walk, with the local pub, The King's Head, making the perfect pitstop for refreshments during the day or meals on an evening. The popular market town of Leyburn is just 30 minutes away by car, where you'll find a fantastic range of shops, cafes and attractions to enjoy.
Richmond is a leafy, vibrant market town boasting an impressive castle, a vast cobbled market place and an elegant Georgian district. It was formed by the Normans in 1071 and the town grew up around the castle which still dominates the skyline. It is said that the walls of the former imprisonment of King William are 11 feet thick and the exhibition centre within the grounds offers an impressive background into the history of this famous landmark.
Richmond is an exciting and vibrant place with plenty of quirky shops, art galleries and a good choice of pubs, restaurants and bars. Every Saturday there is a traditional outdoor market, joined by a popular farmers market once a month. The town is also the gateway to wonderful and unspoilt countryside, making it an ideal base for cycling, walking and other outdoor pursuits. The historic towns of York and Harrogate are also within easy reach.
