Description
This stone-built cottage is situated along the High Street going down the hill into the old village of Staithes. It is only a few minutes from the seafront. The cottage is furnished and decorated to a high standard yet retains original features such as wooden floorboards and an open fireplace. The accommodation is over four floors.
GROUND FLOOR:
Lounge: TV and feature fireplace with wood-burning stove.
Second Lounge: Sofa, leather chair and games chest.
BASEMENT:
Kitchen/Diner: Fridge freezer, electric cooker with grill, oven and extractor fan, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. iPod docking station, radio/CD player and dining table with chairs. Door leading to patio with sitting out furniture.
FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: Double bed, built-in wardrobe, dressing table.
Shower Room: Double shower, toilet, washbasin.
Landing Area with day bed. Leading to:
SECOND FLOOR:
Bedroom 2: Double bed, wall hanging space, TV and partitioned en-suite bathroom within the room.
En-suite: Roll-top bath, toilet, washbasin.
Pets: One dog welcome.
Parking: No parking provided but you can drive down to the property to load and unload. There is a pay and display car park at the top of the hill.
Garden: Patio area at the rear of the property with sitting out furniture.
Heating: Woodburning stove in the lounge and electric central heating.
Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.
Notes: Please bring your own towels. Because of the steep stairs, this property is not suitable for people with mobility problems. Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. No smoking at this property. No mobile phone signal.

Staithes
Staithes is a pretty, traditional fishing village with bundles of charm located 10 miles north of Whitby and offers an idyllic location for holidaymakers visiting the seaside. The village boasts some of the narrowest cobbled streets in the north and is connected with ginnels, nooks and winding streets. There is plenty to see and do with pubs, cafes, shops, art galleries and a fish smokehouse. The village hosts real ale and jazz festivals during the year and attracts many visitors. For those fancying taking to the waters there are regular boat trips to Whitby from Staithes. There are many walks around the area along the cliff tops and through to Whitby, it is an ideal location for any holidaymaker.
