A cosy, weekend retreat. Games room provided lots of entertainment. Had a great run down to the beach at staithes and a whistlestop tour of Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. Definitely need to return.
Our family enjoyed every moment there
Very good standard throughout
Enjoyable weekend, loved Runswick Bay as did Garth (the dog) coastline lovely, great accommodation.
Lovely week & so lucky with the weather. The coastline is spectacular but Sandsend is where we enjoyed the most - as did the dog! lots of pretty surrounding villages to explore and enjoyed the walks
This was a very good property and we enjoyed it. Would recommend to others and think is great for family and couples holidays.
Excellent from all aspects. Family enjoyed the games room which was an added bonus with 4 teenagers
Staithes is a pretty, traditional fishing village with bundles of charm located 10 miles north of Whitby and offers an idyllic location for holidaymakers visiting the seaside. The village boasts some of the narrowest cobbled streets in the north and is connected with ginnels, nooks and winding streets. There is plenty to see and do with pubs, cafes, shops, art galleries and a fish smokehouse. The village hosts real ale and jazz festivals during the year and the September Arts Festival is becoming a very popular event which attracts many visitors. For those fancying taking to the waters there are regular boat trips to Whitby from Staithes. There are many walks around the area along the cliff tops and through to Whitby, it is an ideal location for any holidaymaker.
For more information on Staithes and the surrounding area and local events see our Yorkshire Coast Guide and the Festivals & Events Guide.
