This was our second visit to this property. We enjoyed our stay at this well equipped cottage, great location and facilities, beautiful scenery, fabulous owners, who live on site, but are unobtrusive, helpful if needed, and are a lovely couple. We are looking forward to our next family gathering or celebration, we would return again.
Very helpful owners, lovely welcome pack
Perfect week away for adults dogs and baby. Hosts were so accommodating and friendly. Will definitely be returning.
High Croft was an amazing property with everything you would ever need. Lyn and John were fabulous hosts and the welcome pack was very unexpected! We shall be back xx
What an absolutely fantastic stay we have just had here, Lyn and Jon were more than welcoming and all my family had an amazing weekend. The little touches and love to the home made it even more inviting. Thank you so much
The hosts at our accommodation were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely welcome pack!
Welcome pack was unexpected but well thought out, our hosts were very helpful and kind, and made a difference to our stay. Beautiful scenic view and very peaceful. One of the best properties we have stayed in.
High Croft is superb, we were made to feel so welcome by Lynne and John They welcomed us personally and provided the best ever welcome pack to cover every base various teas and coffees, milk, eggs, white and brown bread, butter, sauasages, bacon, red and white wine, biscuits, full fruit bowl The hot tub, with pop up music speakers and water jets if required, was situated in a marvellous location, my family throughly enjoyed the stunning views as they wallowed A massive outdoor space with conservatory.. 2 great bathrooms for that perfect freezing cold power shower afterwards. We enjoyed sat in the conservatory watching the birds Inside the house it was perfect, good quality furniture and fittings, top notch kitchen kept scrupulously clean with adequate good quality crockery and utensils. They had thought of everything The bedrooms were light and airy, an extension of the external fantastic surroundings. Everything was squeeky clean with beautiful bed linen and lots of fluffy towels. The decor was so fresh and clean, plenty of hanging space and drawers The house was massive and so everyone had space to chill quiet if they wished or join each other We all love animals and Lynne was more than happy for us to go round to her house to see the 2 little dogs and visit the stables with the 3 horses We didn't have children with us, but it is very secure for young children. All grassed areas were fenced and gated I guess it was pretty darn good!!!
A fantastic cottage, ideally placed with lovely owners who made us feel very welcome.
Owned by two truly lovely people. Very helpful and friendly.
From start to finish the holiday booking was easy and the cottage wonderful. The location was central to several seaside resorts making it easy to accommodate the needs of the children and adults in our party.
The house is spacious, well equipped, comfortable and the views are amazing. The hot tub was a huge success. The bird table really has a variety of birds visiting every day. The owners were lovely, even going the extra mile and returning my grandson's cup holder off his buggy. Thank you so much, Lynn and John. Highly recommended oasis between North York Moors and the sea
We had an excellent time! The hosts were absolutely fantastic, facilities and location were brilliant and we felt totally at home! We would definitely stay here again and couldn't recommend the owners enough who were extremely accommodating. Location was brilliant, easy to get to and lots to do!
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. Very clean and spacious. Amazing views and in a beautiful village with some great pubs. Scarborough is a pleasant 30 mins walk and there is a regular bus.
Very clean and comfortable. Hot tub and views fantastic. Hosts were warm and friendly and made us feel so welcome.
The property owners had thought of everything you needed. Arrived to find wine, chocolates, eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, milk which was lovely but unexpected. The property was very tidy and clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and took our children to see the horses which made their holiday. I would recommend to anyone.
The owners are absolutely amazing and so helpful, they made our stay worth while! We were welcomed with wine and biscuits and a personalised note. Will be 110% going back 10/10
Beautifully looked after and wonderful hosts.
We stayed at High Croft over Spring Bank, eight & baby. The house is spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and the views are amazing. The hot tub was a huge success. The bird table really has a variety of birds visiting every day. The owners were lovely, even going the extra mile and returning my grandson's cup holder off his buggy. Thank you so much, Lynn and John. Highly recommended oasis between North York Moors and the sea.
Situated on the outskirts of the popular resort of Scarborough, pretty Scalby village makes a tranquil spot to tour the sights of the Yorkshire coastline. With a quaint beck running through the village, it's lovely to explore the village on foot and the two popular local pubs, local store, church and local restaurants are located at the centre of the village or within easy walking distance. There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and playing fields to be found here, ideal for cricket or football on an evening. A regular bus service links you to Scarborough while the 'cinder track' (where the old railway used to run) connects you to the popular town of Whitby further up the coast which can be enjoyed on foot or by bike with some breathtaking coastal views along the way.
