Description

Enjoy a peaceful break, relaxing in a hot tub and admiring breath-taking countryside with green hills and valleys around! Nestled between the small picturesque village of Suffield on the North York Moors and the beautiful picture postcard village of Scalby near the seaside resort of Scarborough, High Croft is an ideal holiday destination. This delightful four bedroomed house is spacious and comfortable, with two bathrooms, a large kitchen/diner, an open fire in the lounge and a conservatory with country views. There is a large garden with two patios, outdoor furniture and a hot tub.  The property has a private off road parking for four cars. Scalby Village, with shops and pubs, is within a walking distance from the property and has a regular bus service to Scarborough’s town centre. The picturesque Forge Valley and the famous Dalby Forest are only a short drive.

Entrance way: Front door into a small hallway with stairs to the first floor. Downstairs toilet.
Lounge: Two three seater sofas, one two seater sofa, open fire, Sky TV.

We had an amazing stay in a luxurious cottage. the best thing about the whole stay was the owners attention to detail. This is the only place we have ever stayed where there was wine, sausages, coffee, biscuits and milk left for the guests to enjoy. the owners were always on hand to help answer any questions. Absolutely amazing stay here at High Croft! Host’s made us feel SOOO welcome! Amazing house which made us feel at home! Beautiful scenery and surroundings. To the small things that made us feel so welcome! The only slight downside (which again no fault of anyone’s and didn’t spoil the trip what so ever!) it was quite hard to see in the dark and took a few drives up and down the country road to find the property but once we arrived it was amazing from start to finish!!! Thank you!!! Thank you so much for everything you did on our stay here! You made it special and we had such an amazing time!! Even down to the small touch’s for when we arrived!!! We visited High Croft as two families, it was absolutely perfect! All bedrooms were a good size, both bathrooms clean (ideal having two!) The property was extremely well equipped, and the owners were very hospitable, even taking the kids to meet their horses. Lovely touches included wine and breakfast items in the fridge on arrival. I would definitely recommend it, and we hope to be back soon!

We stayed at High Croft over Spring Bank, eight & baby. The house is spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and the views are amazing. The hot tub was a huge success. The bird table really has a variety of birds visiting every day. The owners were lovely, even going the extra mile and returning my grandson's cup holder off his buggy. Situated on the outskirts of the popular resort of Scarborough, pretty Scalby village makes a tranquil spot to tour the sights of the Yorkshire coastline. With a quaint beck running through the village, it's lovely to explore the village on foot and the two popular local pubs, local store, church and local restaurants are located at the centre of the village or within easy walking distance. There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and playing fields to be found here, ideal for cricket or football on an evening. A regular bus service links you to Scarborough while the 'cinder track' (where the old railway used to run) connects you to the popular town of Whitby further up the coast which can be enjoyed on foot or by bike with some breathtaking coastal views along the way.
