Property code: OC-R041

Set on one of Robin Hood Bay’s narrow, cobbled streets, this historic cottage has been modernised inside to create a stylish and welcoming getaway for friends and families at any time of the year. A wood burner provides cosiness in the winter, while in the summer you can relax on the enclosed patio and enjoy the fresh sea air.

Traditional features such as beamed ceilings and original sash windows mix with contemporary yet comfortable furnishings in this appealing three-storey holiday home. Enter straight into the large bespoke kitchen/diner, a generously sized room equipped with top-of-the-range fittings - a wonderful space in which to gather, eat and discuss your outings, this space is quite unusual in Robin Hood's Bay as usually the kitchens are small.  You can sit back and relax in the first-floor lounge, perhaps light the wood burner on a cold evening and enjoy the Smart TV, a DVD, some music or a local history book from the shelves. There’s also a twin bedroom (with 2’6” beds) on this floor, and an elegant wet room. The two remaining bedrooms - another twin with 2’6” beds and a king-size - are on the top floor, tucked under the eaves and with pretty panelled walls. From the first-floor landing, a door takes you out to the enclosed patio, where you can sit with a drink on a summer’s evening or enjoy breakfast al fresco.- (morning sun hits here)

Robin Hood's Bay is located on a dramatic stretch of coastline on the edge of the North York Moors and is surrounded by gorgeous scenery and diverse wildlife. Stay in the village and explore its charming shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, and spend time on the dog-friendly beach rock pooling and searching for fossils. If you want to head out, there are many wonderful walks, both along the coastal path and inland - try the 6-mile stroll along the Cinder Track to Whitby, for example.

The cottage is very nice, with all modern amenities you'd expect. As advertised the stairs to the second floor are not for everyone, but we managed just fine. Could do we some draft proofing when it's the winter months. Loading and unloading was not easy with the dedicated car park being closed currently (FEB2026), you're either carrying everythingRead more from the top car parks or risking parking on double yellows and blocking the road at the bottom. We have stayed in many cottages in Robin Hoods Bay. This is one of the better ones and the quality of the kitchen equipment is excellent. Thank you

This is a lovely cottage, great location in the bay. The shower is a bit of a let down as it is just lukewarm water.

Just spent a fabulous week in RHB, staying in beautiful Fenay Cottage. Perfect location in the middle of the Lower Bay, so ideal for Fisherhead Car Park and loading / unloading car ( permit is wonderful) All cafes, pubs and stores are nearby whether walking up or down the steep hills. We recommend The Cove, The Brambles and The Fish Box plus The GRead morerosvenor (Loxleys) Hide

Nice property but be aware there is only 1 bathroom catering for up to 6 people and no washing machine which could be a challenge if you intend to stay for longer than a week. Location was excellent, right in the middle of the village. I have ticked yes with regards to recommending the property based on the location, but suspect there will be similRead morear properties at more favourable rates throughout the village. Hide

We spent a very happy week in Fenay Cottage. We loved the location in the heart of the village, and having a nearby parking place was a big plus. The house is very well equipped including the kitchen, which for someone like me, who likes to cook when on holiday, was great. Our granddaughter loved the shower!
