Many nice welcoming touches wine, milk, teapot ready! Beautiful garden and outdoor spaces. An excellent location with exceptional walks right from the door and pubs and eating places round the corner. Highly recommended.
A very homely cottage- In the best sense of the phrase! We could have simply moved in. The garden especially was delightful.
Lovely cottage, spacious with great garden. very well equipped. Village is lovely and convenient for moors, historical attractions, coast. Great place. Would get excellent rating instead of very good if had better garden furniture and the main bathroom needs a shower curtain over the bath.
Superb cottage in an excellent location. Larger than expected and the pictures do not do this gem justice.
Lovely original cottage with excellent facilities. Situated in a picturesque village and the local pub serving wonderful meals was only a short walk away. Everything you needed was in the cottage and it was very warm and cosy even at the coldest time of the year! Also the beds were extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this cottage as a holiday base in which to explore north Yorkshire.
Thornton Le Dale
Thornton-le-Dale is a village and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire and is two miles east of Pickering. The village is made famous by a thatched cottage which has appeared on countless calendars and chocolate boxes over the years. It is a feel good village with a friendly vibe, making all of its visitors feel welcome and right at home. The route of the famous White Rose Way, a long distance walk from Leeds to Scarborough also passes through. Dalby Forest is nearby and hosts open air concerts in a magnificient natural setting; also it is a great place for cyclists, picnics and walkers.
