Cherry Tree House is a gem! If you are looking for a slightly quirky house for up to eight people, within easy walking distance of Helmsley town centre, look no further. Throughout this spacious house, fascinating artefacts and interesting features provide added interest. The owner has spent a lifetime collecting furniture and antiquities, and Cherry Tree House is the perfect showcase. The kitchen diner is a fantastic space to relax, eat and entertain, with a large table and a contemporary kitchen. The chefs in your party are well catered for with an Aga and contemporary oven and hob, and with two dishwashers no-one is going to be stuck at the sink for long. The adjoining family area provides additional space to watch TV or play a game, yet within the same area. The separate lounge and garden room offer plenty of space for everyone. If you want to escape, why not fling open the patio doors in the garden room and relax with a book or enjoy a quiet glass of wine whilst taking in the view of the patio. Upstairs, the bedrooms are all of a good size. Two are en suite and the free standing cast iron bath in the master bedroom en suite offers an extra touch of luxury. White Company toiletries are provided in all bathrooms. Outside, the patio has a table and chairs for enjoying meals al fresco or perhaps you will use the charcoal barbecue. A large cherry tree dominates the patio, providing shade in this suntrap area. There is also a large grassed area for the more active, and plenty of space for off-road parking. It is just a five minute walk to Helmsley town centre, with its boutique and individual shops, and great choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The two large hotels have outstanding restaurants, and offer afternoon teas. The Michelin starred The Star Inn at Harome is a couple of miles away. Whether you are looking for a house for a family get-together, a special celebration, or just want somewhere with plenty of space, Cherry Tree House should definitely be considered.

Lovely place, ideal for family and friends. Great location and fab owner. Nothing was to much. Hopefully we’ll be back
Had the very best time staying at Cherry Tree Cottage - two wonderful weeks. Will definitely return in the new year. I hope who ever reads this has as much fun in Yorkshire as I did.
Really lovely cottage, very cosy and comfortable. Probably even better on the Summer! When you could enjoy the garden room and lovely garden.
Wonderful house. We had a really great weekend and loved everything. Great kitchen and snug area. Beds and bedrooms comfortable, lovely and warm. The facilities are really good. Thanks Lisa for your lovely friendly welcome and for looking after us. We would love to come back in the summer and will recommend.
Had an absolutely amazing time this week - celebrating a special birthday. More than exceeded our expectations. Loved the contrast between old and new. Perfect place for a family gathering. Harry is a perfect host. Thank you.
A lovely holiday home in an idyllic setting. The perfect place for a bank holiday escape. Oodles of room and lovely features. Will be coming back.
Famous for its character and charm, the historic market town of Helmsley is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and the Valley of Pickering. It has retained its medieval layout and the Market Place is surrounded by some interesting period stone-built cottages and many charming traditional shops and tearooms. In the middle of the Market Place there is a statue of William Duncombe, 2nd Baron Feversham, whose family has been associated with Helmsley since 17th century. Helmsley with the nearby area offers a fabulous choice of places to visit, such as ruins of the Helmsley Castle built in 1120, Duncombe Park - the beautiful dwelling of the Barons of Feversham, the International Centre for Birds of Prey, Helmsley Walled Garden, Rievaulx Abbey, Nunnington Hall and the Sutton Bank. The 110 miles long Cleveland Way National Trail starts in Helmsley. The beautiful towns of York, Thirsk and Pickering are an easy drive away.
