Holiday cottages and accommodation in Middleham

Home to the romantic Middleham Castle, a handsome structure that was once home to Richard III, the tranquil town of Middleham is one of the most popular places to visit in the Yorkshire Dales. This small market town lies in scenic Wensleydale and is a true delight of cobbled streets and a market square, impressive Georgian and Victorian architecture and charming tearooms and shops, just waiting for visitors to pop in for tea and a browse.

The pretty town is also known for its racing heritage and it’s not unusual to see strings of racehorses being led through the cobbles on their way to the gallops. Families will love a day out at the unique labyrinth of follies, tunnels and chambers that is The Forbidden Corner and walkers and cyclists will be able to try out lots of new routes in the surrounding North Yorkshire countryside – it’s only a few miles from the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A few miles north you'll find the market town of Leyburn, which hosts the annual Yorkshire Dales Food Festival.

Bring the dog too as there are lots of dog-friendly attractions in the area, and when its time to rest both paws and feet, come back to our dog-friendly accommodation and settle down for the night in one of our Middleham cottages.
