Visit Richmond (6 miles), a haven for foodies and history buffs with a quaint market square and Norman castle to explore. Go shopping in Barnard Castle (12.5 miles) where you’ll find boutiques, art galleries, antique shops, and artisanal food stores. Spend some time at Bowes Museum (12 miles), home to exhibitions, parks, and gardens.
