The surrounding area is a paradise for walkers and nearby highlights include North Riding Forest Park (4 miles), the Howardian Hills (8 miles), and the Hole of Horcum (9 miles). For a day at the seaside, journey to Whitby, Scarborough, or Robin Hood's Bay (all within 30 miles).
