The pet-friendly property welcomes four guests and makes the ideal base for couples and small families who love the great outdoors, with a whole host of walking and cycling routes from your front door. Nearby attractions include Rievaulx Abbey (19 miles) and Flamingo Land Resort (2.5 miles).

The social hub of the house is a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with a tiled floor and bi-fold doors opening onto a private courtyard. The stylish kitchen area has all the equipment and worktop space needed to cater for the group, and there's a charming dining table for sharing mealtimes together. In the evenings, sink into one of the plump sofas to watch the Smart TV or simply admire the far-reaching countryside views. When it's time for bed, choose from one of two elegant bedrooms, both of which have their own en-suite shower rooms. Outside, the enclosed courtyard provides a peaceful spot to unwind and take in your beautiful surroundings. Enjoy al fresco meals in summer months, followed by a dip in the bubbling hot tub. The cottage has private parking for two cars.

The picturesque town of Pickering has a great range of independent shops and eateries to explore, as does the beautiful town of Helmsley (16 miles). In Pickering, you can board the heritage steam trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to spend the day at the seaside town of Whitby, with its fascinating architecture, delicious seafood, and sandy beaches. Alternatively, head to the smugglers' haunt of Robin Hood's Bay (27 miles) for jaw-dropping coastal scenery and traditional Yorkshire charm.

This is a lovely modern quiet cottage situated midway between Pickering and Malton. It is one of 4-5 cottages located within a farm. The views are fantastic out of the living room windows. You can see sheep with their lambs and on one side and on the other side hares run across the field. The inclusion of a hot tub is great although it was too coldRead more during our stay to use it unfortunately. Location is great and there are walks nearby if you have a dog. Kitchen is well equipped if you are planning on home cooking and the bathrooms are spacious with a really good shower in each. There were some issues with the heating which we alerted the owner about. Communication with the owner was good. Extras much appreciated including the dog treats! Thank you. Highly recommend this cottage. Hide
