Recharge your batteries and reconnect with friends or family at this extra-special holiday hideaway. One of a select collection of holiday homes within a secluded village site, it’s surrounded by stunning countryside and has wonderful walks from the doorstep, perfect if your party includes any four-pawed pals. Just 3 miles away, the market town Settle sits at the gateway to Upper Ribblesdale, on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Famous as the starting point of the Settle-Carlisle Railway, the town is home to listed buildings, independent shops and friendly inns, and hosts a bustling market every Tuesday. There’s a lovely riverside walk here, but for longer hikes head into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For a real challenge, tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Alternatively, head across the Forest of Bowland National Landscape for a tour of historic Lancaster (23 miles west) and take a stroll along the golden sands of Morecambe Bay.

A no-expense-spared approach to guests’ satisfaction is apparent at this ultra-luxe holiday lodge. Its impressive interior styling starts in the spacious hallway where there’s bench seating and room to store coats, boots and outdoor gear. Further on, the open-plan living space is simply stunning, with glass bi-folding doors along one side allowing far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside plus a pleasing flow of natural light. Serve up home-cooked feasts from the state-of-the-art kitchen, enjoy lively conversation around the elegant dining suite then stretch out to watch TV in the comfortable lounge area. This multi-purpose space will be the social hub of your holiday. When it’s time to sleep, a corridor leads to two restful bedrooms: a master with a king-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom, and a second room with a super-king-size bed that can, on request, be made up as twin beds. A separate shower room ensures comfort for all.

The attention to detail continues outdoors, where you’ll find wrap-around decking, comfortable seating and a BBQ area with dining furniture. A sunken hot tub, a sauna and an outdoor shower, all delightfully private and deliver the ultimate in laid-back luxury, and dreamy views of the hills stretch into the distance. If you’d like to share your holiday with a larger group, this property can be booked alongside another that sleeps a further four guests. Please contact us for details. There is off-road parking for two cars.
