Port Musgrave sits within a Site of Special Scientific Interest; head down to the tiny beach to hunt for fossils and rummage in rock pools. There are some fabulous walks branching away from Port Musgrave, both along the coastline and through the surrounding fields and woodlands. After a long walk, refuel in the friendly pub, just 0.5 miles from the cottage. The bustling seaside town of Whitby (9.5 miles) makes a lovely day out. Soak up the town’s history at Whitby Abbey or the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, before dining in one of the many seafood restaurants.
