This area is beautiful walking country, and the rugged moors are right on your doorstep with miles of heather moorland to explore. You’ll also find great walks in Cropton Forest (3 miles). The nearby town of Pickering (5 miles) has a selection of shops, a museum and a brewery, and there’s a friendly local pub in the village. Enjoy all the sights and attractions of York (30.5 miles), home to York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National Railway Museum, and the Shambles shopping street.
