Located in the picturesque village of Cowling, explore the scenic landscapes and traditional pub serving home-cooked meals. The market town of Skipton, known as 'The Gateway to the Dales' is just 7 miles away, boasting an ancient castle, a beautiful old parish church and a wealth of shops and bars set along a cobbled high street. Spend a day exploring Brontë Country and the nearby town of Howarth, or venture up into The Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Beauty. For family days out, visit Thornton Hall Farm, Brimham Rocks or take the steam train between Embsay and the priory ruins at Bolton Abbey.

Instantly feel at home upon entering this beautiful property where you are greeted by a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with underfloor heating for a really cosy welcome. Relax in front of the Smart TV or simply put your feet up and read a book, taking in the stunning views as the light beams through the bi-folding doors that look out over the surrounding countryside. We had a lovely stay at Sheep Dip Barn. The property was in a beautiful location with fields of sheep (and to my daughters delight new lambs) in all directions. The Barn was wonderfully converted with no money spared on the fittings and decoration. The owners cuoldy have been more helpful and the homemade goodies on arrival was a lovely start to ouRead morer break. Hide

Sheep dip barn is a fantastic cottage with everything we needed travelling with a young toddler. The high chair and baby bath were perfect and there were lots of great toys and books to keep our little one entertained. She loved pointing out all the sheep-related items in the living room and the real ones in the field. Very good quality accommodation with excellent facilities. The location is peaceful in a relaxing rural setting surrounded by grazing sheep. There are good walks from the door and many interesting places to visit within a 10 to 15-mile radius, including Haworth for Bronte fans and Oakworth for fans of The Railway Children.

This is a very comfortable and well appointed cottage in a beautiful location. Within easy travel distance of some major tourist attractions as well as being on the doorstep of lovely quiet walks straight from the door. Victoria and Mark made us very welcome and provided fresh eggs from their hens, delicious home made cakes and a good selection of Read morecomplimentary Tassimo pods. Whilst there was an EV charge point, the flat rate was too expensive to use. A lovely break away and highly recommended. Hide

Our stay at Sheep Dip Barn was great. Our hosts were very helpful when we arrived but gave us complete privacy after. The Barn itself is absolutely lovely, its very beautifully decorated with lots of little countryside touches. We had a very thoughtful gift and card when we arrived, some locally baked bread and cake (which were delicious) and a pinRead moret of milk. The Barn was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities you could want. Set in a superb location with the only noises being the occasional bleating sheep or the farm chickens. A credit to Victoria and Mark and thankyou for the excellent welcome pack. An ideal base for exploring the surrounding area and we would definitely recommend.

What a delightful renovated barn in a great location for various trips out to see Yorkshire and the Dales. Sparkling clean. Everything you could possibly need is in the barn. The cottage and location were stunning. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The best equipped kitchen we have ever been to. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfy and having an en suite each was perfect. The owner had thought of everything we may of needed to make our stay home from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sheep Dip Barn with sheep and rabbits in the fields. We had some trouble finding it in the first place but the owner, Victoria, sorted us out. Lovely comfortable accommodation with everything in. Quiet area, with fantastic views on three sides. We walked from the door once and could have done more. Surrounding area has many walks on canal (Leeds - Liverpool) rivers and hills. We would stay again.
