Great little property, very compact but has good size bathroom and adequate bedroom space as long as you don't unpack too much. Although kitchen is equipped for microwave/hob cooking the lack of space to store any food gave the impression that a lot of cooking wasn't expected. It does take some time to drive back onto proper roads so don't expect tRead moreo nip to town quickly. The owner kindly left food supplies which unknowingly we doubled up on before we arrived. Lovely cottage and welcome pack. The designated dog walking area wasn't cut so didn't use it. Went to Thornton le dale to see bangers and cash museum. Hutton le hole is a lovely village worth a visit. Went to pickering castle and if you walk around the outside of the castle walls you come across a woods nice walk around with the dog. Also we visiteRead mored Dalby forest which had different levels of walks and cafs. All was easy to get to by car. Not far to the moors for plenty of walks. Hide

A Nest is a perfect place for a peaceful and quiet holiday. Well equipped and very comfortable. The stunning view from our bedroom and living room was a special treat for us lowlanders! We have stayed at and reviewed many holiday cottages around the UK. By far this has to have been the best we have ever stayed at. We booked very last minute for the bank holiday weekend and was unsure if we would get anywhere decent. This little bolt hole was a very welcome surprise. The nest is a real little gem with loads of charm. Very self contained with modern appliances, supremely cosy exuding calm and peace. We loved this cottage, it was just what we needed as a base to explore the area. It was clean and tidy and in a fantastic location in the middle of the country side. The hosts were wonderful and friendly, we had a lovely little hamper when we arrived and even one for the dog. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on bliss. We loved the nest very much. The cottage was very clean warm and cosy, great location very quiet and peaceful with lovely walks and plenty of wild life. Cottage was a bit on the small side but equipped with everything you need for your stay. The bed was really comfortable albeit space around was a bit limited. Had problems with the TV reception don't know if it was the TV itself or the Freeview service. Great shower.

A Nest at High Park Farm was just perfect for our needs. Set on a working farm, nestled at the foot of the moors, stunning. What a great out of the way retreat, it was warm & comfortable with everything one could wish for, only wish that I could have stayed longer & will be glad when I can book again. I would recomend this propery to anyone without hesitation.

Excellent cottage for 2 people and pooch. The Welcome Pack was fabulous, it included fresh milk from the local farm, fresh bakery bread, homemade marmalade, a bottle of fizz and much more! There was even a Pooch Pack which included a bow wrapped bonio! Gorgeous shower room, down quilt, comfy bed and pillows. The scenery was amazing, nothing for milRead morees. Peace and quiet.
