Set on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, this dog-friendly getaway for six is an excellent choice for friends or family who want to spend their time hiking in nature and exploring the local tearooms, pubs and shops of Kirkbymoorside. This luxury barn conversion boasts a harmonising mix of traditional and contemporary features and offers on-site facilities including a games room, tennis courts and hot tub hire.

Enter the property to find a neutral-toned open-plan lounge/diner which is filled with natural light through the glass door and windows. To one side of the room is a cosy lounge area with a rustic feel. Two plump sofas and an armchair surround the contemporary wood burner and TV. On the other side of the room is a formal dining area with a table and chairs. Continue into the traditional cottage-style galley kitchen with contrasting dark surface tops amongst the neutral-toned space. Upstairs are three elegant bedrooms – a tranquil twin room plus two king-size with chic metal bed frames and en-suite shower rooms. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed garden with hot tub, BBQ and furniture. Also on the grounds is a tennis court, croquet set, a hot tub to hire and a billiards room.

During your stay in the North Yorkshire market town of Kirkbymoorside, stroll around antique shops, art galleries and eateries. Discover the historic landmarks and attractions of the North York Moors National Park, such as the Cawthorn Roman Camp, the Simon Howe Stone Circle (both within 9.5 miles) and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (21 miles). Take your four-legged friends for a dip in the Mallyan Spout Waterfall (22.5 miles) and soak up the scenic views on a walk around The Wainstones (24 miles).

What an amazing place, the cottage was beautifully restored, comfortable, very clean, extremely well equipped and in an idyllic setting. Very quiet location off the beaten track, yet only a few minutes drive to Kirbymoorside . Jane the host was very lovely and had left us some lovely treats, she also sent us home with some of her homemade brownies,Read more they were delicious. Cottage was a perfect escape from our busy lives, well designed and furnished, we had a wonderful holiday. Jane the owner was very helpful and friendly but also left us to enjoy our privacy . Place was immaculate as was the hot tub which was an added bonus for sitting out under the stars of an evening. A very rural location which was extremely relaxing. We would strongly recommend using the dinner delivery service from the owner. The cottage is a bit off the beaten track, the single track road to it could do with improving. The cottage was lovely, we were welcomed by Jane and her homemade brownies which was very much appreciated. Very spacious and well equipped we especially enjoyed the log burner. Great outside space for our two dogs. We were a twenty minute walk into KirkRead morebymoorside where there are several pubs serving food. Hide

The cottage is in a secluded location adjacent to other dwellings in stunning countryside. The owners made us very welcome with a generous welcome pack. The cottage is spacious and well equipped, the beds were extremely comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely beautiful cottage which is situated in a stunning location with fabulous sunsets and surrounded with wildlife. The cottage was so clean and comfortable and with lots of space and everything you need to enjoy your holiday.

We had a lovely holiday and were greeted by the friendly owner along with her delicious brownies. The cottage was very comfortable especially the wonderful beds. We really enjoyed having access to the tennis courts and games room.

Highly recommend this property. Great walk to pubs at Kirkbymoorside or Gillamoor. Longer walk to Hutton le hole and then Lastingham was stunning via Gillamoor. Otherwise plentiful stunning walks within a 30 minute drive of the farm. So many special wildlife experiences during our week, ring ouzels, red kites, oyster catchers, curlews, lapwings, roRead moree deer and hares! Holiday home was perfect. Had everything you needed. Facilties were great and we certainly used them all. Had great fun playing each other at table tennis, darts, snooker and tennis. Kids also played footie and basketball in the court in next village. Great walks nearby, not far from the coast and a day trip to York was less than an hour away!
