Take a stroll beneath the intricate archways of Rievaulx Abbey (9 miles) before hosting a balmy al fresco soiree on the patio with a blissful country backdrop.

This property offers a stylish blend of traditional features and modern flair. Enjoy vaulted beams, wooden textures, creamy neutral tones, and clean lines. Unlace muddy boots in the utility room then pad along the hallway into the light-soaked open-plan living space. Cook up a storm in the wood-panelled kitchen or gather around the spacious island to sip aperitifs and graze through a snack board. Pour over guidebooks perched at the long dining table, then clear away space to scoff a celebratory family feast. After dinner, sink onto the plump corner sofa with dessert as the resident games master sets up the evening entertainment. In warmer months, step through the garden doors and soak up balmy summer evenings on the patio. Discover three inviting bedrooms to rest up in, consisting of an en-suite king-size, a bright double, and a twin. Outdoors, unwind on the patio with a morning coffee as you drink in the sweeping emerald countryside.

We stayed in the cottage for new year- 6 adults, a toddler and 2 dogs. The cottage is lovely in a beautiful setting. The dogs loved the surrounding fields and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the farm animals. The cottage is very well equipped and was the perfect size for our family with plenty of parking. We drove into Helmsley as its one of our favRead moreourite spots but otherwise was very happy staying within the grounds of the farm. Thank you for such a lovely stay Hide

The cottage is excellent and is the best equipped cottage weve ever stayed in. Its very peaceful (except for the 4:30am alarm courtesy of the cockerel) but thats to be expected if youre staying on a working farm. Overall a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Biscuits, eggs, milk and prosecco very appreciated! Very clean and plenty of room. Son loved the horses and his chat with Derek, lovely watching the ducks taking their babies for a walk, our dog quickly got use to the sheep in the next field and lots of cats around. Only issue we had was the 4am wakRead moree up call from resident (& other) cockerel despite keeping the windows in the very warm bedrooms closed. Hide

An amazing family barn conversion set in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors but with easy access to all the local sights. Beautifully maintained and we wanted for nothing. We were a party of six- 2 grandparents, two parents and two children. We have stayed in numerous holiday cottages over the years but this was the best in every way.
