There’s lots for the whole family to enjoy at this fabulously converted eco-farm building. Pet-friendly and offering increased accessibility, it features three versatile en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan living space and a luxury hot tub on the private patio. Located mid-way between the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors, it’s a perfect base for fresh-air adventures. Alternatively, unwind with a stroll around the owners’ organic farm where you’ll have the chance to collect chicken eggs and meet the resident animals.
One of four former farm buildings clustered around a courtyard close to Sinderby’s pretty village green, this single-storey holiday cottage is full of high-end features. A spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner welcomes you inside – characterful, with a high-beamed ceiling, a choice of seating, a TV/DVD player, a wood burner and doors opening onto the patio, this will be the hub of your holiday. Behind, a country-style dining suite sits conveniently close to the sleek kitchen, equipped with a range-style cooker and all the essentials for a fuss-free stay. At the end of your day, settle the dogs then head to three blissful bedrooms. Two are king-size rooms which can be made up as twins on request; each has its own Smart TV and en-suite bathroom. The third bedroom is a double with an en-suite shower room. Your living space extends onto an enclosed patio at the rear of the property, where you’ll find a BBQ, outdoor furniture and – for the ultimate indulgence – a hot tub. There’s additional bistro-style furniture at the front of the property.
Enjoy learning more about the owners’ farm as you follow the designated walking route – cows graze in the fields behind the cottages and you may even be able to collect fresh eggs from the resident chickens en route. Sinderby is within 8 miles of the market towns of Ripon, Masham, Bedale and Thirsk, while Harrogate is 20 miles away. Just 21 miles away, Helmsley sits within the North York Moors National Park and is home to a delicious selection of independent food shops as well as a medieval castle and a National Centre for Birds of Prey. A similar distance in the opposite direction, Pateley Bridge is at the heart of the Nidderdale landscape, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and immediately adjacent to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. No visit would be complete without a stop at the self-proclaimed 'Oldest Sweet Shop in England', dating back to the early 1800s.
