If you want a more leisurely time, you can enjoy lazy afternoons on the patio or stroll along the country paths down to the river, perhaps taking a walk into Threshfield for a pub lunch or an evening meal.  Grassington is within easy reach, (1.2 miles), where they hold the ever popular Dickensian weekends leading up to Christmas.  You'll also find a great array of shops, pubs and tearooms there, and Kettlewell is just a little further up the dale with its Scarecrow Festival in August - plenty to keep everyone occupied, whether you're a family or a group of friends holidaying together!
