Perfect location, spotless

Dr Reshmi D,

It was well appointed for family get togethers. The décor was well considered including the pictures etc. The beds were comfortable.

Mr Andy K,

I’ve stayed at Swale View twice now - once with my young family and also with my group of friends. This property is perfect for both!! It is in the most amazing location in the centre of Richmond with the castle right outside the window and everything you need in 2 minutes’ walking distance - but still extremely peaceful. It’s great not to need a car unless you want to venture further afield and means a nice meal or drinks out is so easy and doesn’t require any transport. Shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as cultural attractions, are a stone’s throw. Just a few miles away are many more attractions which I haven’t even began to explore properly yet! The apartment itself is perfectly finished to the highest standard and has everything you need. I love the decor, the beds are very comfy, and all the necessary equipment is there. Kids are catered for with a travel cot, high chair and baby gate. I love this apartment and will definitely be back.

Past Customer,

We had a lovely weekend in fantastic accommodation. Perfect central location in the lovely town of Richmond, very close to the market square and castle. The accommodation was beautiful and very well equipped, with everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back!

Previous Customer,

Fantastic modern apartment with amazing views, housed in an older building right next to Richmond Castle. The apartment is fitted out to a very high standard and really comfortable with everything you need for a stay. The loft conversion is a quirky surpise which again has been fitted out superbly. My wife and I stayed with our 3 boys and there was plenty of space. You can see the castle from the windows, a short walk to the river and shops. A great place to base yourself to enjoy Richmond and the Yorkshire Dales.

Stunning views of Richmond Castle and the town. Perfect location, a minute walk on to the high street. Fabulous spacious apartment with modern features and everything you could need.

I have stayed at Swale View a few times now and always enjoy my visits. The views are amazing and the location is very convenient. The view of the castle at night is exquisite and I love looking out the skylights at the stars. Parking was continuant at the green and if you love walking this is the place for you.

Area Information

Richmond is a leafy, vibrant market town boasting an impressive castle, a vast cobbled market place and an elegant Georgian district. It was formed by the Normans in 1071 and the town grew up around the castle which still dominates the skyline. It is said that the walls of the former imprisonment of King William are 11 feet thick and the exhibition centre within the grounds offers an impressive background into the history of this famous landmark.

The cobbled market square is an exciting and vibrant place with plenty of quirky shops, art galleries and a good choice of pubs, restaurants and bars. There is a wonderful georgian theatre hosting shows to suit all tastes in the town. Every Saturday there is a traditional outdoor market, joined by a popular farmers market once a month. The town is also the gateway to wonderful and unspoilt countryside, making it an ideal base for cycling, walking and other outdoor pursuits. The historic towns of York and Harrogate are also within easy reach.
