Description
Penhill has contemporary styling throughout which has been put together with great attention to detail. The property is very light with plenty of windows which gives a very spacious feel. In the lounge you will find comfortable leather sofas and TV, a great space to relax in front of the open fire after a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The lounge diner has a relaxed feel and has been fitted out with modern appliances for the convenience of preparing lovely home cooked meals. Upstairs the master bedroom is spacious with views out over open countryside. In fact all three bedrooms have open views across the countryside. The whole property has a very tranquil, calming feeling and would be a great space for family or friends to spend time together.
Out and about and you will find plenty to do, walking and cycling is some of the best in the country, the “Tour de Yorkshire” passes through the Dales year after year. The Forbidden Corner is a fantastical place to take children for a wondrous day out. Try your hand at the Three Peaks Challenge starting from Horton in Ribblesdale. Gastro pubs and top-class restaurants are also only a short drive away. If you enjoy nature, then why not go on the lookout for the Red Squirrels which breed in this area. Those interested in history will be spoilt too, Castle Bolton with its links to Mary Queen of Scots is close by, there is so much to explore, and Penhill is a great base to start from. Redmire Force is a multi-drop waterfall on the River Ure and only a short walk from the village centre. Bolton Castle is a 20 minute walk across the fields the owners provide a 20% discount voucher (one per booking – valid for up to 6 people) for those who wish to visit the castle. A folder containing vouchers is left in the house.

Open plan Lounge/Diner: 2 x Two seater leather sofas, chair, nest of tables, TV on stand with Free sat, bookshelf, open fire with stone surround, dining table with five chairs, large mirror, patio doors onto the rear garden. This is a lovely light room, and the front window looks out over the green. The garden on a sunny day is the ideal space to sit and relax whilst enjoying a glass of something special and a little bit of relaxation time, you’ll need it before exploring all the local walks and hills !.
Kitchen: Well equipped kitchen with modern units, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is also a microwave and a view through the window to the rear garden and beyond.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom One: Relax in this large room with king sized bed with two bedside tables with lamps, chair, range of wardrobes with mirrored doors to hang all your holiday clothes and a large mirror on wall.
Bathroom: Panelled bath with shower over and shower curtain, Wash hand basin with views through the window, WC and a free-standing mirror on a shelf.
Bedroom Two: Twin beds with bedside cabinets and lamps, double wardrobe with drawers beneath, mirror, views through the window.

Is a pretty village 4 miles west of Leyburn and is the terminus of the Wensleydale Railway. The village has been featured in the British television series All Creatures Great and Small and the village pub the Bolton Arms is a traditional pub serving wholesome meals prepared with fresh local ingredients the ideal location to relax and unwind after a day walking or cycling through the breathtaking scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.

At the heart of Wensleydale lies the gateway town of Leyburn, "A Town for all Seasons".
