Penhill is a lovely modern cottage with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. We have visited Wensleydale before & on this occasion, after spending winter in lockdown, we were happy to spend our time walking, with lots of options available from the door of the cottage. But for people new to the area, Penhill would be a great base for exploring Wensleydale, Swaledale & other parts of the northern Dales. The cottage owners provide lots of useful information & suggestions to help you during your stay.

Mrs W,

Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. We find it very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The area is lovely for walking and cycling. The children especially enjoyed visiting the forbidden corner. We will be back!

Past Customer,

What a lovely place to stay, cottage clean and tidy and comfortable. A home from home. Will definitely be back again and bring grand daughter next time. Thank you

Past Customer,

We have really enjoyed our stay in Penhill. It suits us perfectly and we hope to return when we can. It has been lovely to re-visit one of our favourite parts of the country and to discover some new (for us) parts of The Dales.

Past Customer,

We had a brilliant two weeks in Penhill which is comfortable and well equipped. Ideally situated to explore the Dales. Really enjoyed being able to go for walks directly from the cottage. The neighbours are lovely and we enjoyed meals at the Bolton Arms.

Past Customer,

We really enjoyed our weeks stay in Penhill. The cottage itself is almost like a home away from home. We had a lovely meal in the Bolton Arms and the Golden Lion which also serves food in Leyburn. During our stay we took a visit to the Wensleydale creamery which is a great experience if you're a lover of cheese! Overall we really enjoyed our stay here!

Past Customer,
