Lovely cottage and would love to go back sometime really enjoyed our stay. Mrs June Brannan - 4th June 2018
We have had a fabulous week at Gallowa's Cottage! The kids loved the den upstairs with the secret cupboard - great for playing hide and seek. We have enjoyed several barbecues throughout the week in the garden - listening to the church bells - such a relaxing environment. The dogs really appreciated the doggy treats - thank you! And the fruit cake - amazing! So much to do around here - Forbidden Corner, Catterick Races, Hawes, Aysgarth Falls, Brimham Rocks. We have done so much in the four days we were here. We hope to be back!Jimmy and June (Liverpool), Claire, Mike, Harry, Zack, Siena (Hertfordshire), Douglas and Max (the dogs) - 2nd June 2018
We've had a lovely family holiday - some travelling from Northumberland and some from Manchester. We have all enjoyed staying in this lovely, well appointed cottage. Even Luna the puppy has had a great time. We all enjoyed the beautiful gardens too and were able to sit out in them. Thanks for all you do to make this such a great cottage to stay in.Peter, Caroline and Vicki Shelley, Rachel, Lawson and Luna (the puppy) Leafe - 27th May 2018
An excellent cottage Mr Andrew McMinn - 6th April 2018
Coming in through the door was a welcoming and warm beautiful appointed cottage, absolutely super clean ( when we arrived ) and a wonderful hamper to great us too. Plenty of room for the 6 of us, inviting cosy tranquil bedrooms were 6* plus, the bathrobes were a pleasant surprise and most welcome. Every thought had been given to the guests from the kitchen, the outdoor garden, the garden room and the welcome open fire ready made up fro our arrival. The best cottage we have stayed in, ever.Mrs Christina Davison - 3rd April 2018
We have had a most wonderful stay in this well equipped beautiful home. We can add nothing but positive comments: wonderful comfy beds, warm and cosy, extremely well kitted out, every home touch thought of. We were able to catch up with family who live locally, had five days of fab walking, taking in both Coverdale and Swaledale without using the car once! Thank you for all the little touches too, the welcome back, the bath robes, the fire set ready to go.The Davison family and Rosie the Lab - 1st April 2018
We have just had a perfect weekend in a beautiful and very well equipped cottage. Everything has been thought of, and we could not find fault with anything. Thank you for the welcome pack - the cake was delicious and the dog treats were appreciated by our dog 'Rhino'. Can recommend the food at both Richard third and the Black Swan. The Blue Lion at East Witton is also worth a visit. Sad to be leaving but we will return very soon. Many thanksDarren, Dawn, Russell, Benji. Sylvia and Rhino - 9th February 2018
Thank you so much for the thoughtful touches you left for our stay at Gallowa’s Cottage, we’ve had an absolutely wonderful break, if we could stay longer we’d love to and we will definitely be back.Heather Bamford - 2nd January 2018
We absolutely loved Gallowa's Cottage! With our extended stay for several weeks we felt very comfortable and at home. The cottage was immaculate and the homemade goodies were so kind and thoughtful, even candy for my son! The beds were divine and we slept for later than we should have on several occasions because we were so comfy and cosy. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved to watch the horses passing by every day...something we will really miss. Thank you for everything Jane and Jeremy. We would love to return one day.Melanie and family - 9th July 2017
This cottage was superb. Rarely does a property live up to the photos on website. Could not fault it in any way. It is the best property we have ever stayed in. Attention to detail was second to none. Would highly recommend it. Mrs A Mole - 8th January 2017
Owner exceedingly helpful - before, during & after our stay - and open to suggestions about certain aspects of the cottage. The welcome basket was a lovely touch! Books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, games, local information, fire fuel - all provided. Such a lotMrs Christine Fitt - 1st January 2017
What a gem of a place! Comfortable, warm, cosy, comforting...everything you could desire, especially in cold weather. I would love to return and enjoy breakfast al fresco on the patio in warmer weather! The welcome basket and milk were a lovely touch. Thank you so much. Excellently equipped in all areas. Cooking was a joy. Thank you to Jane for allowing us to enjoy the delights of Gallowa's Cottage.Zoe and David, Christine and Bob - 28th December 2016

We had the most wonderful time. It is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.Jamie Smith - 28th October 2016
This really is a lovely cottage- with really well thought out interior! We enjoyed the yummy cake, sweets and dog biscuit. The location is great and we had a lovely walk down to the river and the castle is fab. We really enjoyed our stay. The Keighley Family - 26th August 2016
A lovely warm welcome once we arrived from the owners who showed us around and explained things with the house and local area. Nothing was too much trouble. They've paid attention to small details like providing dog biscuits and sweets for the children. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. The racing stables next door is a real treat and a tour is a must for any horse lovers. Raye gave us a magical tour, which our daughter thoroughly enjoyed. There are several waterfalls in the area, Hardraw Scaur waterfall being the highest. Park at The Green Dragon Inn also sell food. We've had an amazing week here. Would love a return visit. Hopefully we'll book here again. Thank you for a lovely stay. The Senbi Family - 14th August 2016
Really enjoyed our holiday here. The cottage is amazing- very quirky and the most well equipped that we have ever stayed in. The beautiful welcome package was much appreciated by all. The children especially enjoyed the sweets! Thank you for a super stay. The Reane Family - 6th August 2016
Really enjoyed our stay- 5 adults, 2 children- lovely house, well appointed and very comfortable. Good location, good walks. Excellent welcome pack, especially the cake! Really enjoyed the luxury coffee- very thoughtful and I much appreciated the sweets for the children! Flowers and plants a lovely touch. All bedrooms lovely- spacious, very comfortable beds. The children loved 'the den'- especially the teddies and books (and the secret door!). Good selection of books, games, DVDs, maps, local info etc. Shower excellent in bathroom. Meal at Richard III was very good. Garden room was enjoyed and ate outside.Kent Family - 29th July 2016
Good morning, Jane and Jeremy! I’d like to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home - it’s a real home from home. I’m sure we’ll have a wonderful week staying here whilst enjoying the plethora of places to visit! It’s a jewel of a place and I’m so glad we found it. We’ll take very good care of what has clearly been created with lots of love. Teresa (Steve McPhee’s partner)Teresa
