Dear All, We stayed at park View for a weekend and wow - what a super place. Loved the style and outdoor space. The kids loved the top floor deck. Many thanks again and we will 100% be back soon. - 19th May 2018
We stayed at Parkview Cottage for a short break and WOW, what a place, super luxurious and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a super break away, the hot tub in the enchanted garden was an absolute delight, and what a big surprise to find an outside kitchen with hot and cold running water, I had the best nights sleep in a long time, thank you for the lovely welcome pack, we will be back. The local pub is brilliant, well worth a visit. Mr & Mrs Dowling-Smith - 2nd May 2018
We stayed at Park View over May half term with our two young girls (aged 5 and 7) - What a fantastic property! We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather and the outside kitchen and hot tub which, are amazing and we put to good use! The den for the girls was a added bonus! Thanks to Alex for being a great host, we would highly recommend Park View and hope to visit again soon. Ruth & Davy Bradbury
Our holiday cottages in Kirkby Malzeard are the perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the beautiful nearby spa town of Harrogate. It's part of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by gorgeous open countryside, woodland and, to the west, moorland; making it ideal for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle.
Head over to Harrogate for fabulous resturants, wine bars and the historic Turkish Baths where you can indulge in a range of treatments, from rejuvinating facials to relaxing massages. The village itself is full of the charm you would expect from a Yorkshire Dales village and has all the amenities you could require during your break. There's one pub in the village, The Queens Head, which is loved by locals for its homecooked food and quiz night held every Wednesday. Within the vilage you'll also find a fish and chip shop (the perfect pick-me-up after a day exploring the local area!), a local butcher, a village shop where you can buy your essentials and a newly opened antiques and curios shop. The creamery in the village has been a producer of traditional Wensleydale cheese for nearly 100 years and is now part of the Wensleydale Creamery (headquartered in the northern dales market town of Hawes).
There's lots to see and do in the local area, from sampling a pint of Black Sheep beer from the brewery in Masham, enjoying the outdoors and blowing out those cobwebs at How Stean Gorge or exploring the nearby Cathedral city of Ripon. Further afield you'll find the quaint market town of Pateley Bridge (home to the oldest sweet shop in England), the racehorsing town of Middleham which also boasts the ruins of Middleham Castle (once home to Richard III) as well as plenty of gorgeous countryside to explore either on bike, by car or by foot (perhaps with a furry friend?). The sights and attractions of the North York Moors are also within easy reach, ideal if you want to experience a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway.
