Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was perfect for our last holiday before baby arrives. Babymoon! Couldn't have asked for anything more. Bed and duvet cover so great I had to check the branding! Everything 5* luxury. Thanks again

Me and my friend Chris loved the high den! It was cosy for two big kids but it was peaceful - the pillows especially are wonderful! I adore the style and theme of the house too. Very chic and modern. The soundbar is excellent - in fact all the mod cons are excellent. I've genuinely had the best birthday in a long while and this gorgeous house has been a large part of it!

We were celebrating my son's 26th birthday, had a work conference in Harrogate, and had a trip down memory lane (my parents had a cottage in Mickleby). It was the perfect venue - great location, a sophisticated, adult haven of calm and relaxation. Fabulous decor and fixtures and fittings. Stylish interior, inside and out! The hot tub was a lovely bonus. We will definitely recommend it to friends. Alex was an excellent host - glad we got to meet him.

What an unbelievable find! We came here the day after our wedding for 3 days of relaxation and recovery and it's been perfect! The decor is stunning and the hot tub was just what we needed! We have an anniversary as an excuse to come back every year now! Can't wait! Thank you Alex for your great recommendations and help, we've had the best time and lovely chilled start to married life

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. A fantastic cottage to spend a girly weekend. Even with some unexpected thunderstorms we made the most of the garden area and hot tub! We hope to come back

We couldn't have been happier saying at Park View Cottage. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The hosts were very lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely come to stay again now that we know it is here. The outdoor BBQ area and hot tub are a real delight. They really set the place apart. Thank you so much

We stayed here at Park View for five nights in early July, and have had a wonderful time. We loved the decor in the cottage, and the amazing garden - perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather we've had here recently. While here, we visited Hackfall, Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks as well as Pateley Bridge, Masham and Harrogate - some fantastic days out! Also enjoyed wildlife spotting - a tawny owl landed right on the market cross outside. Incredible! Thanks Alex for being a brilliant host - we've enjoyed our first visit to Widderdale and Kirkby Malzeard and hope to be back one day. Emma and Ollie

We stayed at Park View over May half term with our two young girls (aged 5 and 7) - What a fantastic property! We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather and the outside kitchen and hot tub which, are amazing and we put to good use! The den for the girls was a added bonus! I recently stayed here for 6 nights and it is a relaxing place to have a holiday. The hosts have furnished to an excellent standard. They were also incredible helpful from the start of my stay with a welcome hamper, right to the end with the smoothest check out I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this place to others

Area Information

Our holiday cottages in Kirkby Malzeard are the perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the beautiful nearby spa town of Harrogate. It's part of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by gorgeous open countryside, woodland and, to the west, moorland; making it ideal for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle.

Head over to Harrogate for fabulous resturants, wine bars and the historic Turkish Baths where you can indulge in a range of treatments, from rejuvinating facials to relaxing massages. The village itself is full of the charm you would expect from a Yorkshire Dales village and has all the amenities you could require during your break. There's one pub in the village, The Queens Head, which is loved by locals for its homecooked food and quiz night held every Wednesday. Within the vilage you'll also find a fish and chip shop (the perfect pick-me-up after a day exploring the local area!), a local butcher, a village shop where you can buy your essentials and a newly opened antiques and curios shop. The creamery in the village has been a producer of traditional Wensleydale cheese for nearly 100 years and is now part of the Wensleydale Creamery (headquartered in the northern dales market town of Hawes).

There's lots to see and do in the local area, from sampling a pint of Black Sheep beer from the brewery in Masham, enjoying the outdoors and blowing out those cobwebs at How Stean Gorge or exploring the nearby Cathedral city of Ripon. Further afield you'll find the quaint market town of Pateley Bridge (home to the oldest sweet shop in England), the racehorsing town of Middleham which also boasts the ruins of Middleham Castle (once home to Richard III) as well as plenty of gorgeous countryside to explore either on bike, by car or by foot (perhaps with a furry friend?). The sights and attractions of the North York Moors are also within easy reach, ideal if you want to experience a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway.

Take a look below to view our cottages in Kirkby Malzeard and the local area. If you need any help with your search, our team of local experts would be happy to help so please get in touch.
