We've had a brilliant family holiday in North Yorkshire. The cottage is so well equipped and is a haven for relaxation, which was just what we needed. There are so many options to explore and we loved Brimham Rocks, How Stean Gorge, The Himalayan Gardens, Lightwater Valley and a decent afternoon tea at Betty's in Harrogate. There's still so much left for us to see and we'll be back. Thank you.

Previous Customer,

Had a wonderful week in the cottage, it is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings! Had a great walk to Hackfall woods and a day at the Himalayan gardens. We ate at the Queens Head twice, the food was tasty and hearty. The locals are so friendly. Also had a meal at the Galphy which was nice. Look forward to returning again soon

Bev & D,

We had a lovely stay here at Park View Cottage. The perfect place for our mini moon. We loved the hot tub and courtyard, had a BBQ and sampled some of the local restaurants. Some of the highlights were visiting Forbidden Corner and the Black Sheep brewery. As well as cosying up in the den and by the fireplace to play boardgames and watch movies

Past Customer,

We stayed at Park View over May half term with our two young girls (aged 5 and 7) - What a fantastic property! We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather and the outside kitchen and hot tub which, are amazing and we put to good use! The den for the girls was a added bonus! Thanks to Alex for being a great host, we would highly recommend Park View and hope to visit again soon.

Previous Customer

I recently stayed here for 6 nights and it is a relaxing place to have a holiday. The hosts have furnished to an excellent standard. They were also incredible helpful from the start of my stay with a welcome hamper, right to the end with the smoothest check out I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this place to others

Area Information

Our holiday cottages in Kirkby Malzeard are the perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the beautiful nearby spa town of Harrogate. It's part of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by gorgeous open countryside, woodland and, to the west, moorland; making it ideal for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle.

Head over to Harrogate for fabulous resturants, wine bars and the historic Turkish Baths where you can indulge in a range of treatments, from rejuvinating facials to relaxing massages. The village itself is full of the charm you would expect from a Yorkshire Dales village and has all the amenities you could require during your break. There's one pub in the village, The Queens Head, which is loved by locals for its homecooked food and quiz night held every Wednesday. Within the vilage you'll also find a fish and chip shop (the perfect pick-me-up after a day exploring the local area!), a local butcher, a village shop where you can buy your essentials and a newly opened antiques and curios shop. The creamery in the village has been a producer of traditional Wensleydale cheese for nearly 100 years and is now part of the Wensleydale Creamery (headquartered in the northern dales market town of Hawes).

There's lots to see and do in the local area, from sampling a pint of Black Sheep beer from the brewery in Masham, enjoying the outdoors and blowing out those cobwebs at How Stean Gorge or exploring the nearby Cathedral city of Ripon. Further afield you'll find the quaint market town of Pateley Bridge (home to the oldest sweet shop in England), the racehorsing town of Middleham which also boasts the ruins of Middleham Castle (once home to Richard III) as well as plenty of gorgeous countryside to explore either on bike, by car or by foot (perhaps with a furry friend?). The sights and attractions of the North York Moors are also within easy reach, ideal if you want to experience a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway.

Take a look below to view our cottages in Kirkby Malzeard and the local area. If you need any help with your search, our team of local experts would be happy to help so please get in touch.
