Description

A newly renovated character property sleeping up to eight guests in four bedrooms.  Located in the peaceful Yorkshire Dales village of Carlton-in-Coverdale, close to Leyburn. This stone-built cottage is well equipped and furnished to a high standard with solid oak worktops, beamed ceilings and is a spacious & luxurious retreat with wonderful views over the Dales. The renowned local village pub which serves a hearty meal and local ales is only a stone's throw away. Perfectly situated for cycling and walking in the Dales whilst also within easy reach of Middleham, Leyburn, Masham and Ripon. Ample free car parking opposite the cottage.  The cottage has a small courtyard to the front which is ideal for taking in the afternoon sunshine.  A spacious lounge with a Smart TV and Netflix is the ideal place to cosy up and watch an evening film.  The separate snug also has two large sofa’s and a TV with Freeview for anyone wishing to have some peace and quiet. There is a shower room on the ground floor and a corridor takes you round to the stable wing which has a lounge downstairs and a king size bedroom above with its own staircase. The main staircase leads to 3 bedrooms on the first floor - two doubles including one king size master suite, a twin and the main bathroom. Which has been fully renovated and features a blissful drench type shower.

Parking: Parking outside the property for up to two cars on a first come first served basis, further free parking in the village car park 50 yards away in the village car park.

Carlton in Coverdale
The little village of Carlton is located within the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park. Only 6 miles away from the bustling market town of Leyburn, the village is perfect for a peaceful break while still being within easy reach of brilliant shops, attractions and restaurants. The village had a local pub, The Forester's Arms owned by the local community and to the east of the village lies the motte of the medieval Carlton Castle. The village makes an ideal base for exploring the national park, with a variety of stunning walks and trails right on your doorstep.
