Description

Harmby
The thriving village of Harmby in Lower Wensleydale is ideally located for exploring the best of what this beautiful area has to offer whilst offering a tranquil escape close to the bustling market town of Leyburn. The Harmby Waterfall is just one of a number of local beauty spots close to the village and is accessed by a footpath from the main road; the gorgeous meadows surrounding the village are perfect for leisurely walks and are just one way of reaching Leyburn's shops, pubs, restaurants and delis from the village. However, you don't need to venture to Leyburn to experience the Yorkshire Dales famous real ales, the village has two local pubs, The Old Horn Inn in Spennithorne and the Pheasant Inn,which located at the top of the village. The village is serviced by a fish and chip van every Thursday and the sense of community here is sure to give any visit a taste of the true Yorkshire Welcome the dales is so well known for.
